Job Description – Software Engineer (Entry-Level)

As a Software Engineer at Mastercard, you will:

• Design and execute test scenarios and test cases for enterprise applications.
• Validate microservices-based enterprise solutions using the Java J2EE tech stack.
• Automate component, integration, and end-to-end test cases.
• Collaborate with development teams to review and enhance unit tests.
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards and intellectual property protection.
• Engage in Agile development practices and contribute to process improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science/IT or related field (BE/BTech/ME/MTech)
• Proficiency in writing test scenarios and test cases
• Strong experience with Java, JUnit, Spring Boot, SQL, Oracle, Postgres, and Cassandra
• Familiarity with testing tools like Postman, SOAPUI, Jenkins
• Experience in Agile software development methodologies
• Good understanding of security concepts (authentication, authorization, confidentiality)
• Strong logical and analytical thinking with excellent communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of the Payments domain is a plus
• Exposure to DevOps tools like Jenkins, Rally, Confluence
• Ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
