Apprentice / Trainee Civil Engineer – Europe & India
We work across all construction stages, from pre-feasibility through conceptual stages to detailed design and delivery on the ground. Our work includes:
Highway design
Junction design
Pavement analysis and design
Drainage analysis and design
Utility layout and diversion design
Engagement in masterplan development
Feasibility and highway route studies
Contributions to Transport Assessments and Environmental processes
Preparation of surface water drainage strategies and flood risk assessments
Earthworks and levels design including cut/fill analysis
Streetscape (street lighting, fencing, traffic signals and traffic sign) design
The pursuit of carbon neutral solutions and enhanced biodiversity
Job Responsibilities:
Production of CAD (Computer Aided Design) drawings
Preparation of simple civil engineering calculations
Supporting the administration of projects, including maintaining records
Assisting with data review and analysis
Ensuring outputs are accurate and meet the required standard
Meeting agreed deadlines
Working as a member of a team
Contributing to providing solutions to problems
Qualifications
No experience is necessary, but the position is ideally suited to school leavers at A level standard (or equivalent) who can demonstrate:
Minimum of 3 A-Levels – ABB or above, including Mathematics and 1 Science (Science includes: Biology/Human Biology; Chemistry; Computing; Design and Technology; Economics; Electronics; Environmental Studies; Geography; Geology; Life and Health Sciences; Physical Education; Physics; Psychology; Science (applied); Statistics)
