Job Description
As a Graduate Trainee at Calix, you will work with the security engineering and threat intelligence teams. You will help in research, validation, and development of network intrusion detection systems. This role is a good opportunity for freshers who want to build a strong career in cybersecurity and networking.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with security engineers to analyze network attacks and write detection logic.
- Perform packet analysis using Wireshark, Zeek or tcpdump.
- Help develop and test detection signatures for IPS/NIDS systems.
- Support internal tools development using Python.
- Do open-source intelligence (OSINT) research for new cyber threats.
- Create reports, documentation, and technical playbooks.
- Participate in security discussions and research lifecycle.
- Simulate attack scenarios to test detection capabilities.
Eligibility Criteria
- Final year or recently graduated in BE / BTech (Computer Science, IT, Networking, Cyber Security).
- Good knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and Intrusion Detection Systems.
- Understanding of cyber threat intelligence, MITRE ATT&CK, malware delivery methods.
- Programming in Python is preferred.
- Comfortable with Linux & Windows OS.
- Knowledge of tools like Wireshark, Suricata, Snort is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and research aptitude.
