Job Overview:
This opportunity lies within Cisco’s Intent-Based Networking Group (IBNG), focused on the Nexus 9000 series Data Center switches. As a QA Automation Engineer, you’ll contribute to developing automation frameworks and performing manual testing to ensure reliability, flexibility, and scalability for next-generation data center and cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement comprehensive test plans based on system specifications
- Develop scalable and modular test automation using Python, C, or C++
- Utilize AI/ML tools, Git, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) for efficient automation
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure software quality across various stages
- Test protocols like TCP/IP, VLAN, STP, routing protocols, Openconfig, Netconf, YANG
- Work with storage subsystems and SAN/Fiber Channel technologies
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in software testing or QA automation in computer networking
- Proficient in Python, C/C++, Git, and automation frameworks
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols
- Experience with CI/CD environments and test-driven development approaches
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (MS preferred)
Preferred Skills:
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure: AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills
