Job Description:
As a Software Engineer at Coinbase, you will work on solving complex, large-scale technical challenges that impact our core products like Coinbase.com, Prime, and Wallet. You will help develop the next generation of systems that make cryptocurrency accessible to everyone. This includes operating real-time applications with high-frequency, low-latency updates, ensuring platform security from fraud, and creating seamless user experiences on web, iOS, and Android.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and leadership to translate product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap.
- Write high-quality, well-tested code that meets the needs of customers.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the platform’s infrastructure, ensuring security and efficiency.
- Build delightful, user-centric experiences and products that drive Coinbase’s mission forward.
- Embrace and thrive in a remote-first, trust-based culture.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proficiency in programming/modeling with languages such as Golang, Ruby, JavaScript, or Python.
- Strong knowledge of Blockchain, crypto, and web3 concepts.
- Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Postgres, Ruby, MongoDB, and React Native.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing principles.
- Knowledge of iOS and Android operating systems.
- Ability to think about how users interact with products and build user-focused solutions.
- Self-motivated with a commitment to personal and professional growth.
- Passionate about contributing to an open financial system.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a positive attitude.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
