Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Engineers and Analysts to evaluate and enhance Google’s products.
- Work on large, complex data sets to solve challenging analysis problems.
- Conduct data gathering, processing, analysis, and present findings through visual displays of quantitative information.
- Provide business recommendations by performing cost-benefit analyses, forecasts, and experiment analysis.
- Research and develop methodologies to improve product quality, such as ads and search quality, behavioral modeling, and live experiments.
- Collaborate with teams to shape data-driven and privacy-preserving products for advertising and marketing.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in statistical software like R, Python, S-Plus, SAS, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of statistical data analysis, including linear models, multivariate analysis, stochastic models, and sampling methods.
- Experience working with machine learning on large datasets.
- Strong ability to interpret data and recommend actionable insights.
- Sound knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, networks, storage, or hardware architecture.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
