About the Role: Google is looking for a Network Test Engineer to join our team and work on next-generation technologies that impact billions of users. This is an opportunity to contribute to building robust, scalable cloud-based platforms and handle massive information. As a Network Test Engineer, you will work on functional and scale testing of Google Cloud and automate testing to ensure high-quality product delivery.
You will be responsible for developing automation frameworks, debugging network issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless test processes in our CI/CD environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Google cloud-based platforms from a functional and scale perspective.
- Own and develop automation frameworks for current and future cloud products.
- Automate test cases for continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) pipelines, ensuring a smooth build and canary-based deployment process.
- Triage, debug, and resolve issues, collaborating with the Platform deployment team to implement best practices.
- Work with Development, Product Management, and Engineering Productivity teams to ensure readiness of the required libraries and frameworks for automating test cases.
- Proficiently troubleshoot and debug network protocols, equipment, and services.
- Develop test coverage and work on network test automation.
Qualifications:
- Educational Requirement: Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience: Freshers and experienced candidates are welcome to apply.
- Skills Required:
- Proficient in programming languages like C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Working knowledge of Unix/Linux, Windows, or macOS environments.
- Experience in SQL, Technical Design, Web Technologies, Troubleshooting, and Stakeholder Management.
- Familiar with test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, automation, and debugging.
- Proficient with network equipment, network protocols testing, and debugging.
- Strong experience in test automation and network test automation.
- Knowledge of ethernet switching, networking equipment, and debugging/troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
