Your Role and Responsibilities:
As a Software Developer in the Data & AI team at IBM India Software Labs, you’ll be at the forefront of creating cutting-edge products like WatsonX, Cloud Pak for Data/Integration, DB2, OpenPages, and more. You’ll be instrumental in designing, coding, testing, and maintaining our industry-leading solutions.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain database features for IBM products and services.
- Enhance service capabilities by evaluating and integrating new technologies.
- Share knowledge and mentor team members through documentation and collaboration.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C, C++, Go, or Scala.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Knowledge of SQL databases (Db2, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.).
- Familiarity with Virtualization and Containerization technologies.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes frameworks.
- Understanding of cloud services (IBM Cloud, AWS, Microsoft Azure).
- Working knowledge of Linux/UNIX Operating Systems.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise:
- Familiarity with Shell scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, Python, or Ruby.
