Job Description – Software Engineer (Entry-Level)
As a Software Engineer at Mastercard, you will:
- Design and execute test scenarios and test cases for enterprise applications.
- Validate microservices-based enterprise solutions using the Java J2EE tech stack.
- Automate component, integration, and end-to-end test cases.
- Collaborate with development teams to review and enhance unit tests.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards and intellectual property protection.
- Engage in Agile development practices and contribute to process improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science/IT or related field (BE/BTech/ME/MTech)
- Proficiency in writing test scenarios and test cases
- Strong experience with Java, JUnit, Spring Boot, SQL, Oracle, Postgres, and Cassandra
- Familiarity with testing tools like Postman, SOAPUI, Jenkins
- Experience in Agile software development methodologies
- Good understanding of security concepts (authentication, authorization, confidentiality)
- Strong logical and analytical thinking with excellent communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of the Payments domain is a plus
- Exposure to DevOps tools like Jenkins, Rally, Confluence
- Ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
