Role Overview
Mastercard is hiring a Software Engineer I – Java Developer for its Consumer Data Management (CDM) team in Pune. This team builds secure, real-time communication services used across Mastercard’s global platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop scalable, high-performance Java-based microservices.
- Collaborate with Agile teams to meet project goals and timelines.
- Participate in prototyping, code reviews, and solution discussions.
- Contribute to improving user experience and internal application integration.
- Stay updated with modern development practices and technologies.
Skills Required
- Strong Java programming and microservice development experience.
- Familiarity with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and JUnit.
- Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis).
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Maven, Jenkins).
- Exposure to cloud technologies (PCF, AWS preferred).
- Monitoring tools like Splunk or Dynatrace (optional but a plus).
- Additional front-end skills (e.g., React) are an advantage.
