Job Description – ServiceNow Developer

Visa is actively seeking a ServiceNow Developer to join its dynamic technology team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate should have 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience and a strong passion for working with the ServiceNow platform, along with a willingness to explore technologies like Python and Node.js.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow modules such as:
  • IT Service Management (ITSM)
  • IT Operations Management (ITOM)
  • Human Resource Service Delivery (HRSD)
  • Customer Service Management (CSM)
• Design and implement:
  • Workflows
  • Client scripts
  • Business rules
  • UI policies
  • Data import strategies
• Integrate ServiceNow with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs.
• Utilize JavaScript and expand into other languages like Python and Node.js.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts and senior developers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues with sustainable solutions.
• Stay up to date with ServiceNow upgrades, patches, and industry best practices.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and actively contribute to project meetings.
• Be open and flexible to explore and work on technologies beyond the ServiceNow platform.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum:

• A Bachelor’s degree (B.E/B.Tech) or at least 3 years of relevant experience in IT development.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Understanding of ServiceNow platform administration and core modules.
• Familiarity with integration techniques using REST/SOAP APIs.
• Hands-on scripting experience with JavaScript.
• Exposure to Python, Node.js, or similar backend technologies.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is a plus.
• Experience with other ITSM tools and cloud platforms is beneficial.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving technologies.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role based in Bangalore. The exact number of in-office days will be communicated by the hiring manager based on team and project requirements.
