Job Description:
The application specialist of the VTBA Infrastructure team is responsible for installing and deploying an application on the appropriate hardware and software platforms, working with the IT staff to get the pre requisites aligned with the vendor recommendation.
As part of the Special Business Application team he ensures the application onboarding is following the right process, meets the security & compliance requirement of AtlasCopco IT, make sure that the documentation is created, recorded and up to date in the CMDB. Also he has to maintain the current documentation of the existing applications in order to get a good data quality in the CMDB.
Job Responsibilities :
Application installation and configuration: installing and configuring software applications on servers, workstations, and other hardware platforms
Application maintenance and support: must ensure that the software applications are up to date and are functioning properly
Security and compliance: ensuring that software applications meet security and compliance standards
Data Quality: Ensure that the CMDB documentation is up to date
Ensure that application projects stay on track.
Co-ordinate with vendor and the business to install / fix an application issue
Qualification:
• Keen to learn IT operations (NOC, SOC, Infra monitoring etc.) and troubleshooting networking, operations center and/or supporting large environments.
• Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy and quality of work
• Basic analysis and troubleshooting of network, applications, systems, and devices.
• Ability to work independently in an intense and dynamic work environment and as a team player shows initiative and has a strong desire to share knowledge with others.
• ITIL knowledge
• Excellent written and oral communications, including technical writing, phone etiquette, and customer service skills
• Able to communicate technical jargon to those that are not technical in a way that is understandable.
• Personal Computer and server hardware and software
• Good knowledge of Windows platform server architecture configuration and administration.
• Process-oriented; understands the organizational benefits of processes and the need for compliance.
• Suggest or implement improvements to team processes and procedures.
