Job Description
As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting server and networking hardware inside Microsoft data centers. Your work will ensure smooth operations and high uptime of critical cloud services.
You will perform tasks such as rack and stack, cabling, labeling, and replacing faulty components. This is a shift-based role that requires strict adherence to safety procedures and operational guidelines.
You will also handle data-bearing devices securely and maintain accurate records using internal ticketing systems. Collaboration with engineering and operations teams will be a key part of your day-to-day work.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure servers and networking equipment (rack and stack)
- Perform cabling and labeling according to global standards
- Diagnose and repair hardware issues (RAM, disks, power supplies, motherboards)
- Support large-scale deployments, upgrades, and decommissioning projects
- Follow all safety procedures, including electrical and lifting protocols
- Manage and resolve assigned tickets within defined SLAs
- Handle secure data destruction and device disposal
- Coordinate with logistics and inventory teams for asset tracking
- Provide support in rotational shifts for 24/7 operations
Skills & Eligibility
