
SMT ENGINEER (UPPERBODY)
Job Responsibilities:
- Design & CAD Modelling of BIW parts and Assemblies as per engineering guidelines and check lists.
- Creation and Management of product data structure in PLM and ensure BOM Quality.
- To support development of Design Standards & Carryover Strategy in line with defined Technical
- Policy and Technology Roadmap for Sub-Module (Upperbody Structure) and engineering of the
- Sub-Module (Upper Body Structure) for the projects in line with the standards.
- Create Technical Proposals for New Concepts & resolution of Technical Issues or Design to meet attributes.
Education
- Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical
- Experience: 2 to 8 Years
Software:-
- Catia V5R25 With good modelling skills and expert in best modelling practices, PLM systems
Knowledge:Â General Construction of Body Structure, Raw Materials, Sheet metal forming processes Assembly processes, Vehicle & Aggregate Regulations applicable to Body Structure, - Test Standards & Structural Requirements (such as Durability, Static & Dynamic Stiffness, Crashworthiness, Sealing, Corrosion prevention etc.), Awareness of Interface with other aggregates. Six Sigma Tools (DFMEA, DFM, DFA & DFS), GD&T, EPS and the NPI Process. Cost drivers.
- Tools:Â Working knowledge of Engineering Tools (Analysis modules in CATIA, FTI, VizVSA), MINT3, RMDVV and other internal systems

Job Responsibilities:
1 Warehousing operations management
• Prepare shop wise plan and execute inbound material receipt, its safe storage and issue as per production plan
• Ensure availability of material at right consumption point and escalate non-availability of material as per MIN MAX levels in order to ensure uptime of production levels
• Drive Smooth Material flow from receiving to point of use
• Adhere to JIS/JIT/Kanban methodologies for lean inventory management
• Prepare shop wise layout and material flow solutions for optimisation of regular / new project material as per WCQ standard (ex FIFO, PEFP, Pull system etc.)
• Manage documentation as per laid down guidelines of Legal compliance and various audits
• Drive continuous improvements through various kaizen to address issues and improve efficiency & effectivity

2 Warehousing & Operations Planning
• Suggest design and utilisation of Shop warehouse for effective utilisation of space and material flow

• Execute Engineering Change Management initiatives
• Perform Cycle Inventory as per statutory requirement and as per company guidelines
• Co-ordinate with SCM for minimising generation of non-moving / obsolescence materials

• Ensure quality ok parts deliver to line
• Maximise Green packaging and damaged free parts and issue to line
