Titan is planning to hire 3,000 people in India across the next five years, Viveat Susan Pinto reports for Financial Express.
The watch and jewellery maker — part of the Tata Group — will be hiring for mid to senior-level roles in e-commerce, sales, digital, data analytics, design, and engineering. It particularly plans to raise its engineering headcount by 50% in the next two to three years, the report says.
Campus hiring will also continue with freshers slated to make up 15-18% of Titan’s new workforce every year. While the firm’s employees are based in metro and Tier 2/3 cities in a 60:40 ratio, it is planning to tap emerging markets by hiring more local talent, says Priya Mathilakath Pillai, Head of HR (Corporate and Retail).
Meanwhile, KPMG has opened a new global delivery centre in Kolkata and plans to double its headcount in the city by FY25, reports Livemint.
