Job Description:
As a Program Manager Associate (Software Programmer Analyst) at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with business and operations teams to gather ship carrier requirements. You will work closely with transportation technology teams to integrate new carriers and ship methods into the network. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining transportation documents such as shipping labels, carrier electronic manifests, and invoices. Additionally, you will be involved in Amazon Corporate and Divisional Software projects, updating/enhancing current software, automating manual configuration processes, and documenting systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 0-2 years of experience in software development or related roles
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java (preferred), C++, or C#, or scripting languages like SQL, Perl, Python, XML, or Ruby
- Good knowledge of Data Structures, Algorithms, Problem Solving, and Coding
- Exposure to AWS Technologies such as AWS S3, Dynamo DB, etc.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand business objectives and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve them through software solutions
- Write clean code for basic data structures problems and algorithms
- Adopt best practices in software engineering: design, testing, version control, documentation, build, deployment, and operations
- Debug and troubleshoot application-level issues with minimal guidance
- Provide simple and effective solutions
- Prioritize projects and make sound judgments to improve the customer experience
