About the Role
Adtran is currently inviting applications for the position of DevOps Engineer (Entry-Level). This role is ideal for individuals with 0–2 years of relevant experience who are looking to build their career in DevOps within a global engineering environment.
Selected candidates will work alongside experienced developers, QA professionals, and support teams to streamline infrastructure, automation, and deployment processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Automate build, deployment, and monitoring processes
- Maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible or Terraform
- Support cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OpenStack)
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and support operations
- Create and maintain clear documentation
- Learn and apply best DevOps practices across the development lifecycle
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 0–2 years of experience in DevOps/System Administration (internships included)
- Basic understanding of CI/CD tools and practices
- Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack)
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes
- Working knowledge of scripting languages: Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Understanding of Linux, networking, and version control systems (Git/SVN)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and take initiative
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Hands-on experience with tools like Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation
- Exposure to Agile/DevSecOps workflows
- Certifications in cloud platforms or DevOps tools
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
