Job Description
As a Software Engineer Intern at EA, you will be working on systems that test and improve EA’s online game infrastructure. You’ll be a part of a team that ensures millions of players get a smooth, lag-free experience every day.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Building and integrating automation tools to improve testing efficiency.
- Writing and maintaining simulation code using C++, Scala, or Python.
- Performing load and stress tests on gaming systems to find performance limits.
- Creating test plans and analyzing real game logs to simulate realistic loads.
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues found during testing.
- Working closely with engineers to report and fix performance issues.
- Ensuring all development follows EA’s internal policies and security guidelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Basic understanding of C++, Scala, or Python programming languages.
- Some knowledge of cloud systems like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Understanding of scalable systems and distributed architectures.
- Curiosity and problem-solving mindset.
- Familiarity with tools like Grafana, MySQL, or Redis is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities efficiently.
