About the Team
The Windows & Devices (W+D) team at Microsoft focuses on delivering innovative, end-to-end products that combine hardware, software, and services. The Windows Silicon & System Integration (WSSI) team within W+D is looking for a Software Engineer to contribute to breakthrough technologies across the Windows ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain software components that enhance AI capabilities on Windows devices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across silicon, software, and AI domains to develop reliable and high-performing features.
- Improve performance, power efficiency, and reliability to deliver the best Copilot+ PC experience.
- Participate in technical design and code reviews to maintain engineering excellence.
- Analyze and resolve complex system-level issues through debugging and root-cause investigation.
- Deliver customer-focused solutions aligned with Microsoft’s product goals and quality standards.
- Stay updated with advancements in AI and system software to drive continuous improvement.
- Contribute to an inclusive, growth-oriented team culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, with proficiency in one or more programming languages (C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python).
- Equivalent experience in software development may also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills for multiprocessor systems.
- Experience with performance profiling, log analysis, and debugging tools.
- Ability to learn complex systems quickly and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Strong teamwork and planning abilities in a fast-paced environment.
