Amazon is seeking dynamic individuals with strong Database and Linux skills to join our expanding Support team as Software Engineers. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of technology, supporting our diverse range of customers through various channels including telephone, email, and web/live chat.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employ advanced troubleshooting techniques to address customer queries and provide tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with customers to delve deep into the root cause of issues, ensuring comprehensive resolution.
- Mentor new team members and contribute to training initiatives.
- Partner with development teams on complex issues or contact deflection initiatives.
- Drive process improvement and strategic initiatives to enhance customer experience and compliance with global AWS standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server.
- Familiarity with Linux/Windows system administration fundamentals.
- Understanding of distributed computing environments.
- Exposure to AWS and virtualization technologies.
- Proficiency in managing full application stacks and setting up monitoring for production DB environments.
- Experience with NoSQL technologies such as DynamoDB, Redis, MongoDB, Cassandra, or Riak.
- Familiarity with DNS, TCP/IP protocols, and security concepts.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a strong customer focus.
- Self-starter with a passion for continuous learning.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
