Job Description: The Transportation Team at Amazon is seeking a dynamic and passionate Software Programmer Analyst to collaborate with business and operations teams. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering ship carrier requirements and working with transportation technology teams to integrate new carriers and ship methods into the network. Your duties will include designing, developing, and maintaining transportation documents such as shipping labels, carrier electronic manifests, and invoices.
As a crucial part of the integration process, you will work alongside development teams on Amazon Corporate and Divisional Software projects. This involves updating/enhancing existing software, automating manual configuration processes, and documenting systems. Your solutions will have a direct impact on customers, requiring you to learn quickly and manage overlapping tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business and operations teams to gather ship carrier requirements.
- Work with transportation technology teams to integrate new carriers and ship methods into the network.
- Design, develop, and maintain transportation documents like shipping labels, carrier electronic manifest, and invoices.
- Contribute to Amazon Corporate and Divisional Software projects.
- Update/enhance existing software and automate manual configuration processes.
- Document systems for clarity and future reference.
- Identify and solve problems proactively, implementing solutions to detect and prevent outages.
- Prioritize projects, make sound judgments, and continuously work towards improving the customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant field.
- 0-2 years of experience, including fresh graduates.
- Proficient in at least one programming language: Java (preferred), C++, or C#.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as SQL, Perl, Python, XML, or Ruby.
- Exposure to AWS Technologies, including AWS S3, Dynamo DB, etc.
- Strong understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, Problem Solving, and Coding.
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in English.
- Detail-oriented, with superior organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and maintain professionalism under pressure.
